Uiseong County, "Unstoppable Fiscal Administration"... Top Fiscal Execution for 7 Consecutive Years

Ranked First Among 22 Cities and Counties in the Province
Outstanding in Speed of Executing 1 Trillion-Won Budget and Consumption-Investment Performance

Uiseong County has once again demonstrated its budget execution capabilities that support the local economy, being selected as the 'Top Institution' for the seventh consecutive year in Gyeongsangbuk-do's fiscal execution evaluation.

Uiseong County (Governor Kim Jusu) announced on January 20 that it achieved a comprehensive score of 123.59 points in the 2025 second half fiscal execution evaluation conducted by Gyeongsangbuk-do, ranking first among counties as well as first overall among the 22 cities and counties in the province. As a result, Uiseong County secured a fiscal incentive of 15 million won from Gyeongsangbuk-do.

This evaluation was based on ▲overall statistical budget execution performance (50%) and ▲third and fourth quarter consumption and investment execution performance (50%). Out of the 1.1988 trillion won subject to fiscal execution, Uiseong County executed 1.0192 trillion won, achieving an execution rate of 85.0% and receiving the highest marks for both speed and efficiency of fiscal execution.

In particular, the county showed outstanding performance in the consumption and investment sectors, which have a significant impact on the real economy. In the third quarter, it executed 66 billion won, reaching 167.9% of the target amount of 39.3 billion won. In the fourth quarter, it executed 124.3 billion won, achieving an execution rate of 113.6% compared to the target amount of 109.4 billion won.

To improve fiscal execution performance, the county has maintained a systematic management system, including holding fiscal execution briefings, reviewing quarterly and monthly execution plans, conducting departmental self-assessments, and implementing execution incentives. In addition, it has conducted inspections to minimize unused and unallocated funds, thereby enhancing the completeness of project implementation.

Governor Kim Jusu stated, "Being selected as the top institution this time is the result of all public officials working together with a sense of responsibility," and added, "In the first half of 2026, we will continue to focus on proactive execution management and intensive spending in consumption and investment sectors to achieve results that residents can truly feel."

Fiscal execution is not simply about 'speed' but is an indicator of administrative execution power that actually drives the local economy. Uiseong County's achievement of the top rating for seven consecutive years is attributed to its execution strategy of not merely 'securing' the budget, but also allocating it to the right places at the right time as needed.
