Kim Jin-tae Expresses Gratitude for Bipartisan Support in Securing National Funding for Gangwon Province
On January 20, Kim Jin-tae, Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, invited National Assembly officials who contributed to ushering in the era of 10 trillion won in national funding for the first time in the province’s history to the provincial government’s trade consultation room and presented them with plaques of appreciation.
This presentation of appreciation plaques was arranged to express gratitude for their efforts in comprehensively supporting the process, including monitoring the National Assembly’s schedule and budget deliberations on-site, sharing updates on parliamentary trends, delivering Gangwon-related budget materials, and assisting with the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts review process.

Representing the group, Senior Secretary Kim Youngseong stated, “Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province has ushered in the era of 10 trillion won in national funding, and achieved a visible result by securing 6.8 million won per resident-the highest in the nation. This was made possible through the close cooperation of the governor, provincial officials, and the National Assembly.”
Governor Kim Jin-tae said, “Regardless of political affiliation, I would like to express my deep gratitude on behalf of the residents to the National Assembly officials who played a significant role in ushering in the era of 10 trillion won in national funding for Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. Thanks to your efforts, the province ranked fifth nationwide in terms of total scale.” He added, “I ask for your continued support in securing national funding for 2027 as well.”
