Bridging the Urban-Rural College Admissions Information Gap

The Seongju County Byeolgoeul Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Lee Byunghwan) has launched a comprehensive support initiative to help local students establish systematic college entrance strategies.

The foundation announced that from January 19 to February 27, over a period of six weeks, it will conduct "one-on-one personalized college admission consulting" sessions for students and parents at the Seongju County Youth Culture Center.

This consulting program was designed to support local students and parents in developing systematic strategies for the 2027 college entrance exams and to address the information gap between urban and rural areas regarding admissions.

For this initiative, college admissions consulting experts will provide one-on-one personalized counseling to approximately 80 students who registered in advance.

Notably, this year the consulting program, which previously targeted only high school students within the county, has been expanded to include prospective second- and third-year middle school students, enabling earlier support for students’ career and college planning.

Participating students will receive tailored, practical information essential for effective college strategy development, including: ▲AI-based exploration of career goals and suitable universities based on school records and mock test scores ▲diagnosis of areas for improvement and guidance on customized career activities according to career goals ▲selection of the most appropriate admissions process for each individual ▲identification of optimal early admission tracks through analysis of school records ▲and case studies of success and failure in the 2026 admissions process, with a focus on rural student admissions.

A representative from the Seongju County Byeolgoeul Scholarship Foundation stated, "We hope that this personalized college admission consulting will provide practical assistance to local students and parents in proactively responding to the evolving college entrance environment and preparing more systematically for admissions. We will continue to actively support local students in building strong admissions competitiveness by continuously developing and operating a variety of educational support programs, ranging from career and college planning to academic assistance."
