A Variety of New Programs Including Buncheong Pottery Mother-of-Pearl Keyring Making
The Buncheong Cultural Museum in Goheung County, South Jeolla Province, announced that it will operate the "Winter Vacation Museum Vacation" program until the end of February, offering local youth and families an easy and enjoyable way to experience Korea's cultural heritage during the winter break.
This program is designed to help students on winter break naturally understand the history and culture of Goheung, as well as the value of Buncheong pottery, while fostering creativity and self-directed learning through hands-on activities.

The program breaks away from traditional educational methods and consists of three new experiential activities aimed at engaging young people's interests: "Buncheong Pottery Mother-of-Pearl Keyring Making," which utilizes Buncheong pottery patterns; "Traditional Book Making," where participants learn traditional Korean bookbinding techniques; and "Traditional Lantern Making," which will brighten up winter nights. These diverse activities blend traditional culture with a modern sensibility.
This experiential education program focuses on helping children and teenagers become more familiar with culture and the arts in their daily lives, providing opportunities for intergenerational communication through various hands-on activities, and transforming the museum from a simple exhibition space into a "cultural playground" where local residents can enjoy spending time at any time.
A representative from the Buncheong Cultural Museum said, "We hope that many young people and families will visit the museum through this program, experience the history and culture of Goheung, and create warm and meaningful memories."
