The National Recommendation System is part of the "Special Performance Reward System for Public Officials," which was introduced across all government agencies this year to innovate the performance-based reward system in the public sector, based on the national policy philosophy of "fair personnel management and clear rewards and penalties."

Public officials who achieve exceptional results that go beyond the usual level of work in their respective fields will receive a commendation from the head of their agency, along with a reward of up to 30 million won per person.

Starting today, any citizen can recommend a public official from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety who has delivered outstanding results, at any time throughout the year.

More details can be found on the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's website.

Oh Yu-kyung, Commissioner of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, stated, "It is the citizens who truly experience the benefits when public officials enhance national and public interests and take the lead in maintaining public safety and order. We will establish a performance-oriented public service culture in which achievements recognized by the public are fairly evaluated and rewarded."
