Umi Estate, an asset management company affiliated with Umi Construction, announced on January 20 that it has appointed Kim Jihun as its new CEO.
After graduating from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Hanyang University, Kim served as head of the architectural development business team at Daelim Industrial (now DL E&C). He joined Umi Construction in 2018, where he has been responsible for real estate development and business acquisition.
Kim has presented the establishment of a "virtuous value chain" as a key objective. He aims to enhance business completeness by incorporating market data obtained from asset operation and management processes, such as rental housing, into the planning stages of new projects.

Umi Estate currently operates 6,676 public-supported private rental housing units and plans to expand this to 17,300 units by 2030. The company also manages the co-living (shared housing) brand "Deers Pangyo" and the commercial facility "Lake Como Dongtan."
Recently, the company has also entered the senior housing business. It is preparing to operate the Guri Galmae Silver Stay pilot project, a senior facility in Hwaseong Dongtan 2, and a senior facility within the Cheongna Medical Complex Town.
Along with the appointment of the new CEO, the company relocated its headquarters to "Nuv Cloud Hills" in the Magok district. This office building was constructed by Umi Construction, and Umi Estate directly manages some of its spaces.
Kim stated, "With the beginning of the Magok era, I will work with our employees to build a company that grows together in the optimal work environment provided by Nuv Cloud Hills," adding, "Based on our differentiated operational expertise, we will set a new standard in the real estate market."
