This program provides support for each childbirth, regardless of income level, and is separate from the Gyeonggi-do Postpartum Care Expense program. It reimburses up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses incurred after using postpartum care centers or maternal and newborn health management service providers, with a maximum cash reimbursement of 500,000 KRW.
Eligibility is limited to cases where the newborn's birth has been registered in Yangju City and the mother has resident registration in Yangju City as of both the date of childbirth and the application date. Applications can be submitted within six months of the childbirth date.
Families wishing to apply should visit the Yangju City Public Health Center and submit receipts for out-of-pocket expenses issued after using postpartum care centers or maternal and newborn health management services, along with a copy of the mother's bank account. For families who find it difficult to apply in person due to childcare, online applications are also available. Simply search for "Yangju City Postpartum Care Expenses" on the Government24 website.
An official from the Yangju City Public Health Center stated, "This program was established to alleviate the financial burden on families with newborns and to support a stable postpartum recovery. We hope that many families will take advantage of this system and receive practical assistance."
