SL Chairman Lee Choonggon Donates 300 Million KRW to DGIST: "Nurture AI Innovation Talent"

DGIST (President Lee Gunwoo) announced on January 19, 2026, that Lee Choonggon, Chairman of SL Corporation, donated 300 million KRW to foster innovative talent and strengthen research capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

This donation will be used to advance DGIST's AI-based research and educational environment, as well as to nurture talent in future convergence technology fields, which are key priorities for the institution. DGIST is positioning artificial intelligence as a core growth engine, strengthening advanced science and technology research and industry collaboration, and contributing to enhancing the technological competitiveness of both the region and the nation.
