Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 20th that it held the "2026 Incheon Airport New Year's Meeting" at the Transportation Center of Incheon Airport Terminal 2 on the afternoon of the 19th.
The event was attended by Lee Hakjae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, Kwon Hyukjin, Director of the Seoul Regional Office of Aviation, Park Sanguk, Director of the Incheon Airport Immigration Office, as well as heads of resident agencies, representatives of airlines, commercial facilities, logistics companies, and about 200 resident airport staff.
The New Year's Meeting was organized to bring together resident airport staff to reflect on last year's major achievements and to share key goals and plans for safe and convenient airport operations in the coming year.

The event began with a celebratory performance by the "Black Saxophone Ensemble," a busking team selected through a national audition last year. This was followed by President Lee's New Year's address and a large rice cake cutting ceremony to welcome the new year.
President Lee said, "I would like to thank the more than 94,000 resident airport staff whose dedication enabled the flawless, safe, and convenient operation of the airport, even as we achieved record-high air transport performance last year." He added, "This year, we plan to prioritize safety and accelerate innovation in airport operations, including the transition to AI, so that Incheon Airport can meet the expectations of the public and become the people's airport."
