With this selection, Inje County has secured 10 billion won in national funding and plans to invest a total of 20 billion won in the disaster risk improvement project for the Sugyo District in Yongdae-ri, Buk-myeon, implementing the project in phases through 2028.

The project site, Sugyo District in Yongdae-ri, Buk-myeon, is an area that has repeatedly suffered flood damage during heavy rainfall. In particular, there have been ongoing concerns about potential casualties due to the aging bridge in the area.

To address these risk factors, the county plans to fundamentally improve disaster vulnerabilities by focusing on bridge reconstruction, including the installation of a new bridge (length: 53 meters, width: 9 meters) and the construction of a retaining wall (length: 145 meters).

Since 2022, Inje County has been carrying out a comprehensive flood risk management project for the Seohwa and Deokdari areas, with a total project cost of 97.5 billion won, including 48.7 billion won in national funding. Including the newly selected Sugyo District project in Yongdae-ri, the county is now promoting disaster prevention projects in a total of 12 districts, with approximately 155 billion won in national funding support.

As these large-scale disaster prevention projects are carried out simultaneously, it is expected that the county will be able to systematically eliminate risk factors in disaster-prone areas, prevent recurring flood and collapse risks in advance, and significantly strengthen the region's overall disaster response capabilities.

An official from Inje County stated, "We will continue to carry out improvement projects focused on disaster-prone areas to reduce the risk of recurring flood damage and create a safe residential environment where residents can live with peace of mind."
