Full-Scale Technology Collaboration and Follow-Up Consultations with Buyers and Investors at CES 2026
The Daejeon Metropolitan Government (Mayor Lee Jangwoo) and Daejeon Technopark (President Kim Wooyeon, hereafter referred to as Daejeon TP) announced that during CES 2026, Daejeon D-Unicorn companies operated a global investor and buyer matching program in collaboration with local North American professional organizations, resulting in export consultations worth approximately 50 million dollars with local accelerators.
Through this program, a total of 28 business consultations were conducted, including meetings with global buyers and investors, customized consulting, and discussions on strategic partnerships.
In particular, in-depth discussions were held on technology cooperation, joint business initiatives, and investment potential through one-on-one strategic meetings with global companies such as HP Inc. and Baidu Apollo.
Additionally, export consultations worth approximately 50 million dollars were conducted with local accelerators, and there were concrete discussions that could lead to strategic cooperation in the future.
At the CES 2026 venue, company consulting focused on establishing North American market entry strategies, identifying local potential customers and network connections, product design, and market positioning. These efforts were aimed at strengthening companies' pre-entry capabilities for the North American market.
Meanwhile, D-Unicorn companies operated individual booths and actively engaged in on-site consultations with global buyers. As a result, they recorded a total of 246 consultations amounting to 5.476 million dollars, and succeeded in discovering 115 new buyers.
Following the consultations, 25 follow-up meetings are scheduled to take place at the request of buyers for further discussions. These include meetings with global deep tech companies such as Microsoft and Meta, as well as U.S. and Canadian naval-related organizations. There are high expectations that these will lead to tangible outcomes such as sample testing, technology verification, and joint business discussions.
Daejeon TP President Kim Wooyeon stated, "Daejeon TP has focused not just on participating in exhibitions, but on achieving tangible results in exports, investment, and global cooperation," adding, "We will continue to support the global growth of local companies through business matching linked to overseas exhibitions, connections to global investment, and support for follow-up verification and commercialization."
