Korea Information and Communication Co., Ltd. (hereinafter KICC) is further strengthening its ESG and accessibility innovation by expanding certification for "Barrier-Free Kiosks" to enhance digital accessibility for information-vulnerable groups.

KICC announced on January 20, 2026, that three keypad-integrated kiosk models-EK-192 (NFC), EK-128, and EK-142-received the "Priority Procurement Intelligent Information Product Verification Certificate" from the National Information Society Agency (NIA) on December 16, 2025.

Following the certification of the EK-192 (NFC) keypad external model in September, the company has now secured certification for three additional models, bringing the total to four models that meet barrier-free standards. This move is significant not only as an active response to government guidelines under the Act on the Prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, but also as a measure to help franchisees comply with accessibility standards and expand their product choices.

The newly certified kiosk models have been officially recognized for being designed to ensure that information-vulnerable groups-including those with visual, hearing, or mobility impairments-can use them without inconvenience. These products incorporate a variety of accessibility features, such as voice guidance (screen reader), high-contrast display, low-positioned screens for seated or wheelchair users, and physical keypad-based operation.

By securing a range of certified models suitable for various industries and store environments, KICC is contributing to the practical expansion of franchisees' choices. The company plans to continue its efforts to create a payment environment that is easy for everyone to use and to strengthen accessibility initiatives that realize social value.

A KICC representative stated, "In line with the government's policy to expand distribution, we are working to secure a variety of barrier-free models so that franchisees can more easily meet accessibility standards," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in building a payment environment that is convenient for people who have difficulty accessing information, such as persons with disabilities and the elderly, and in realizing social value."
