Carrot Car Care is a service that provides integrated vehicle maintenance history and management information through a mobile app, regardless of insurance subscription status. It helps users manage the complex process of vehicle maintenance more conveniently. The service was launched in December 2024 through the Hanwha General Insurance digital brand "Hanwha General Insurance Carrot" mobile application.
Based on automatic synchronization of maintenance history, the service offers essential features for vehicle management, such as alerts for consumable replacement cycles and reservations for regular vehicle inspections. It has been operated as a service that drivers can use throughout the vehicle maintenance and management process.
The service has gained popularity among general customers, especially among women, as it provides easy management of information that is often overlooked due to a lack of specialized knowledge in vehicle maintenance. This includes notifications for engine oil and consumable replacement cycles, as well as guidance and reservations for nearby regular vehicle inspection centers.
As of December 2024, Carrot Car Care had reached 100,000 members, and the total accumulated maintenance history within the service amounted to 2.74 million cases. The average monthly active users (MAU) over the past six months has remained at around 30,000.
Hanwha General Insurance explained that this indicates customers are not just signing up, but are repeatedly using the service throughout the vehicle management process.
The company emphasized that reaching 100,000 members demonstrates clear customer demand for comprehensive vehicle management. Based on this, Hanwha General Insurance plans to combine driving analysis services in the future to provide more sophisticated accident risk management.
The company will continue to enhance the service step by step, such as adding a vehicle recall inquiry feature in the first quarter, to further increase its usefulness in the vehicle management process.
Hanwha General Insurance aims to expand service areas closely connected to customers' daily lives, moving beyond an insurance product-centered approach, including the expansion of Carrot Car Care. Through this, the company plans to broaden its points of contact with customers throughout all stages before and after insurance subscription.
