Seo-gu District in Gwangju Metropolitan City will fully implement the "2026 Apartment Complex Support Project" to improve residential welfare for residents and to create a safe and pleasant living environment.

This project will allocate a budget of 400 million won to support projects necessary for the management of common facilities, such as maintenance of internal roads, security lights, senior community centers, and playgrounds, in apartment complexes within the district that are more than 10 years old from the date of use inspection.

In particular, following a partial revision of the ordinance on apartment complex support in November last year, the scope of support has been expanded. Previously, support was provided up to 35 million won per complex, but starting this year, if facilities have been damaged or are at risk of damage due to various disasters or accidents, the maximum support per complex has been raised to 90 million won.

Applications can be submitted from February 2 to February 27 by preparing the required documents listed in the public notice section of the Seo-gu District Office website and submitting them either in person to the Housing Division of Seo-gu District Office or by mail.

Seo-gu District plans to conduct on-site inspections and a review by the Apartment Complex Support Deliberation Committee for the applicant complexes, and will finalize the selection of supported complexes by March.

Yoon Okmin, Head of the Housing Division, stated, "Residents' interest in and satisfaction with the apartment complex support project have been steadily increasing," and added, "We will do our utmost to swiftly resolve risk factors within apartment complexes and to achieve tangible improvements in the residential environment that residents can truly feel through prompt administration."
