Polaris Sewon Wins Core Parts Order for "Next-Generation Large Electric Vehicle"... Strengthening Future Mobility Portfolio

Polaris Sewon will supply core components for the next-generation electrification strategy model of a global top-tier automaker.

On January 19, Polaris Sewon announced that it had signed a contract to supply header condensers for the "next-generation large electric vehicle" to be launched by the largest automaker in Korea, through a key parts subsidiary of a major domestic automotive group.

The component is scheduled to enter full-scale mass production starting in 2027 and will be supplied to the global market. Through this contract, Polaris Sewon has secured a stable supply volume for the coming years, which is expected to significantly contribute to improved profitability by increasing the operating rate of its Pyeongtaek plant and expanding sales.

The model awarded in this contract is a strategic vehicle that the client is preparing to reshape the electrification market landscape. Unlike conventional passenger electric vehicles, it features a design optimized for various purposes, including cargo transport and passenger shuttles. Industry experts expect this model to become a flagship product in the rapidly growing logistics and multi-passenger mobility markets.

The header condenser supplied by Polaris Sewon is a key HVAC component that maximizes thermal management efficiency for the vehicle. With this contract, the company is successfully restructuring its business portfolio from a focus on internal combustion engine parts to dedicated electric vehicle (EV) components.

In particular, by entering the future core lineup of Korea's leading automaker, expectations are rising for additional orders for subsequent models derived from this platform in the future.

A Polaris Sewon representative stated, "This contract is the result of meeting the strict quality standards and technological requirements of a global leading automaker. We will supply products of the highest quality in line with the 2027 mass production schedule, further strengthen our partnership with the client, and expand our market share in the future mobility sector."

Meanwhile, Polaris Group, centered on Polaris Office, owns subsidiaries across diverse industries, including Polaris Sewon, Polaris Uno, Polaris AI, and Polaris AI Pharma, and is actively pursuing a "Vertical AI" strategy that integrates AI across the industrial spectrum.
