Unanimous Nomination by Association Board
"Top Priority on Regulatory Reform"
The Korea Fintech Industry Association announced on January 19 that it held a regular board meeting on January 16, during which Kim Jonghyun, CEO of Cocoon, was unanimously nominated as the sole candidate for the 6th chairman and that the association has launched the chairman election campaign.

Kim was unanimously nominated as the sole chairman candidate by the board of the Korea Fintech Industry Association. After a month-long election campaign, if he receives the support of a majority of member companies at the regular general meeting on February 25, his appointment as the 6th chairman will be finalized.
Kim is a fintech expert with a background in traditional financial institutions. He has served at Dongnam Bank, Korea Housing Bank, as head of the Webcash Research Institute, and as a private member of the Digital Platform Government Committee. He is currently serving as CEO of Cocoon.
Kim stated, "Cocoon was involved in the founding of the Korea Fintech Industry Association in 2016, and I decided to run to give back for the industry's support over the past 10 years." He added, "Drawing on my experience collaborating with various member companies, I will strive to address challenges such as regulatory reform."
Meanwhile, the Korea Fintech Industry Association has completed the selection of the 6th board members, including vice chairmen, directors, and auditors, through the regular general meeting.
