Year-End Tax Adjustment Simulation Service Also Available
Samsung Life Insurance announced on January 19 that it has launched the "Pension LAB" service, a research initiative focused on pensions, to help customers prepare for a stable retirement.
The Pension LAB, which was launched last month, is a digital pension analysis service designed to help customers prepare for their future and retirement in a balanced way, as reflected in the name "Life And Balance." Rather than simply listing information about pension products, the service integrates carefully selected content into a single platform, enabling customers to understand the necessity of pensions and prepare accordingly.
Pension LAB comprehensively considers each customer's individual circumstances, such as age, occupation, and financial capacity, to recommend the most suitable products. For example, during the year-end tax adjustment season at the beginning of the year, the service suggests optimal simulations for salaried employees expecting a "13th month salary," recommending pension products that allow for a refund of up to 990,000 won (a 16.5% tax deduction, subject to relevant tax laws) when making annual contributions of 6 million won.
Without the need for procedures such as MyData integration, users can easily check the estimated payout amounts for the so-called "three-tier pension" system-comprising the National Pension, Retirement Pension, and Private Pension-with just a few clicks. The service also offers a variety of content, including pension preference assessments and tips for young professionals preparing for retirement.
Pension LAB is available through the Samsung Life Insurance Direct website and the integrated Samsung Financial Networks application, "Monimo." Until the end of this month, an event is being held for service users. Through a lottery, 500 customers who check their "perfect pension" on Pension LAB and enter the event will receive a 10,000-won Naver Pay reward, and 3,000 customers who leave a service review will receive a 2,000-won Naver Pay reward.
A Samsung Life Insurance representative stated, "Pension insurance serves as a lighthouse guiding customers safely to their destination on the long journey of retirement," adding, "We hope that through Pension LAB, customers will be able to truly appreciate the benefits and importance of pension insurance."
