The newly launched "Meijo Junmai Daiginjo Maru Warai" is produced by Meijo Brewery, which was established in 1966 through the merger of six breweries in Himeji City, building on the foundation of Imai Brewery founded in 1864. Meijo Brewery upholds the authenticity of Japanese sake by adhering to a brewing philosophy centered on Junmai and Daiginjo, maintaining traditional long-term low-temperature aging methods and handcrafted koji production techniques.

"Maru Warai" is a Junmai Daiginjo sake themed around "laughter," embodying the hope that moments spent enjoying sake will naturally lead to smiles and happiness. It has gained popularity in Japan as a gift sake. The main ingredients are Yamada Nishiki, known as the king of sake rice, and Gohyakumangoku. It is brewed using pure natural water from the Harima region of Hyogo Prefecture and Ginjo yeast, undergoing a long-term low-temperature fermentation process.

This sake is characterized by its elegant Ginjo aroma, refined umami, and a refreshing, clean finish, making it ideal as a food-pairing sake. It pairs especially well with meat dishes, richly flavored sauces, and menus featuring miso sauce. The alcohol content is 15-16%, and the rice polishing ratio is 50%.

A Naracella representative stated, "'Meijo Junmai Daiginjo Maru Warai' is a product that emphasizes balance, allowing people to enjoy the refined aroma and flavor of authentic Japanese sake in everyday life without burden. As domestic consumer interest in sake continues to grow, we expect this product to broaden the range of choices in the premium sake market."
