Kwak Kyungtaek and Kang Minwoo Team Up for "My Dad Zombie" Starring Yoo Jaemyung

Director Kwak Kyungtaek is returning with a human comedy, joining forces with rookie director Kang Minwoo.

On January 19, production company Ask Road Film announced that the movie "My Dad Zombie" has finalized its main cast and began filming on the 8th. The story revolves around a professional zombie extra who pretends to be a hero off-camera in order to protect his son's innocence. Director Kwak, known for works such as "Friend" and "The Classified File," will co-direct the film, supporting Director Kang's debut project.

The main character, Seongjun, will be played by Yoo Jaemyung. A former dancer, he acts as a father who tries to become an "undying hero" to his son at home. Lee Sieon will play Oh Seongjun, a top star who shares the same name as the protagonist but leads a completely different life, adding tension to the story.

Additionally, Oh Dalsu will take on the role of Hongdo, Seongjun's close friend and supporter, while Park Sooyoung will appear as a fellow actor. Sun Kim, a broadcaster and storyteller specializing in history, will make his screen debut as Director Yuk, who oversees the filming set. The movie is scheduled to be released in the second half of this year.
