Passed Away on January 16
Voice actor Seon Eunhye, known for her roles in the animation "Black Rubber Shoes 4" and the foreign drama "Doctor Foster," has passed away at the age of 40.
According to Yonhap News on January 19, Choi Jaeho, Chairman of the Korea Voice Actors Association and the late Seon's husband, stated, "My wife passed away on the evening of January 16." He added, "The cause of death was cardiac arrest."
Debuting in 2011 as part of the 36th open recruitment class of KBS voice actors, she lent her voice to numerous KBS radio dramas and various documentary narrations.
After transitioning to freelance work, she showcased her distinctive voice acting in a variety of projects, including Mion in the animation "Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream," Seongcheol in "Black Rubber Shoes Season 4," and Kate in the foreign drama "Doctor Foster."
She is survived by her husband, Chairman Choi, and one son.
Fellow voice actor Jeong Seonghun paid tribute to her on his social networking service (SNS), stating, "I sincerely pray for the repose of my junior, Seon Eunhye."
Since January 17, a three-day funeral was held at Seoul Soonchunhyang University Hospital, with the burial taking place at 7 a.m. on this day. The burial site is Saesaram Retreat Center in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province.
