Chuncheon City in Gangwon Province (Mayor Yuk Donghan) is launching the "2026 Small Business Management Environment Improvement Project" to enhance the business conditions of local small business owners.
Eligible applicants are small business owners who, as of the application date, have both their residence and business located in Chuncheon and have been operating for at least one year. Additionally, the business must have annual sales of 300 million won or less in 2025 and pay 300,000 won or less in property tax. Applications will be accepted in person at each township and neighborhood administrative welfare center from February 2 to February 20. Detailed information can be found in the announcement to be posted on the Chuncheon City Hall website starting January 19.
After a review process, selected small business owners will receive a subsidy of up to 3 million won per business. The support funds can be used for improving the business environment, including replacing outdoor signage, upgrading interior decor, enhancing external facilities, and introducing smart devices.
An official from Chuncheon City stated, "We hope this project will help reduce the management burden on local small business owners and enhance the competitiveness of their stores," adding, "We encourage many small business owners to carefully review the announcement and apply within the deadline."
