On this day, Deputy Governor Kim presented five key issues: the full inclusion of all Gyeonggi Province's proposed projects in the 5th National Rail Network Construction Plan; increased train frequency on the northern Gyeonggi section of the Gyeongwon Line (Yangju to Yeoncheon); and the inclusion of Gyeonggi Province routes in the "Comprehensive Plan for Integrated Railway Undergrounding," among others.

In particular, Deputy Governor Kim emphasized the need for a strategic expansion of the railway network to shorten commuting times in the Seoul metropolitan area and to connect major hubs within a one-hour economic zone. He also proposed that Gyeonggi Province's projects be included in the 5th National Rail Network Construction Plan to achieve this goal.

Additionally, he requested the inclusion of a total of 26.3 kilometers across six lines within the province-such as the Gyeongbu Line, Ansan Line, and Gyeongui-Jungang Line-in the "Comprehensive Plan for Integrated Railway Undergrounding and Mixed-Use Development," which aims to move above-ground railways underground and develop the surface areas. He also called for a special law amendment to allow local governments and public corporations to participate as project operators, thereby encouraging development tailored to regional characteristics.

Kim Daesoon, Deputy Governor for Administration II, stated, "We plan to continue close consultations with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to ensure that Gyeonggi Province's railway projects are included in the government's mid- to long-term plans. Through this meeting, I hope to strengthen the ministry's understanding and cooperation regarding Gyeonggi Province's railway projects."
