On January 16, the Administrative City Construction Agency announced the appointment of Hong Sunmin, former Head of the Transportation Planning Division, as the new Director of the Facility Project Bureau. The Facility Project Bureau is responsible for overseeing the construction of essential infrastructure in Sejong New Town (Administrative City), including road and transportation networks, water supply and sewage systems, and disaster prevention facilities.

The newly appointed Director Hong was born in 1973 in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province. He graduated from Cheongju High School and earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University. He began his public service career by passing the third Local Public Administration Examination in 1998 and later obtained a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013.

Director Hong has held key positions at the Administrative City Construction Agency, including Head of the Investment Promotion Team, Head of the Urban Growth Promotion Division, and Head of the Metropolitan Roads Division. He further built extensive practical experience and expertise related to the construction of the Administrative City by serving as Head of the Urban Policy Division and the Transportation Planning Division.
