The Mungyeong Culture and Arts Center will present the "Ghibli & Disney OST Concert" as its New Year's concert to welcome 2026.
With the winter vacation season, there is growing interest as families will be able to enjoy live orchestral performances of iconic songs from popular animated films together.
The Mungyeong City Government announced that the "Ghibli & Disney OST Concert" will be held once on January 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Grand Theater of the Mungyeong Culture and Arts Center.
This performance will be led by conductor Choi Youngsun and the Millennium Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra will deliver representative soundtracks from Ghibli and Disney in grand arrangements, offering children a vibrant and enjoyable experience, while providing adult audiences with a nostalgic and emotional journey.
Notably, musical actors Lee Chungju and Kim Soo, along with saxophonist Cho Sehyung, will join as guest performers, enhancing the quality of the concert.
The combination of orchestral music, musical vocals, and saxophone will bring a new dimension to each piece, promising a stage filled with unique and moving interpretations.
The Millennium Symphony Orchestra, founded in 2003, is a private symphony orchestra recognized for its musical excellence through various symphonic and opera performances as well as special concerts.
It has been praised for expanding the reach of classical music, guiding the cultural interests of young people in a positive direction, and establishing itself as an orchestra that is accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
All tickets are priced at 3,000 won (open to elementary school students and older), and reservations can be made from 9:00 a.m. on January 20 at the Grand Theater box office of the Mungyeong Culture and Arts Center or through online ticketing platforms.
