So far, there have been no casualties. Forty-seven residents (from 37 households) in the 4 District evacuated the area.
The forestry authorities have urgently deployed 113 firefighting vehicles and 534 personnel to carry out ground-based firefighting operations.
However, due to heavy fog, helicopters are unable to take off. At the scene, the wind is blowing from the south-southeast at a speed of 2.0 meters per second.
At the Seoul Forest Aviation Management Office and other locations, one large helicopter, five medium helicopters, and one small helicopter are on standby. The forestry authorities plan to deploy helicopters intensively to extinguish the wildfire as soon as weather conditions improve.
Kim Inho, Commissioner of the Korea Forest Service, stated, "We will make every effort to prevent casualties from the wildfire."
