MOU Signed with Construction Drone Data Platform Company
WooMi Construction is advancing the sophistication of its 'digital twin' technology, which automatically records photos and videos at construction sites and enables real-time management of site conditions in a virtual space.
WooMi Construction announced on January 16 that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with spatial information startup Meisa at Linsquare in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at the end of last month for the development of 'Construction Record Automation and Digital Twin-based Site Operation Technology.' The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Hyewon, Executive Director of WooMi Construction, and Choi Seokwon, CEO of Meisa, among others.
Digital twin technology overlays site data collected through drone footage, CCTV, 360-degree cameras, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) onto a three-dimensional model. This technology allows users to easily monitor construction progress and promptly identify and address potential risks or quality issues.

WooMi Construction explained, "Since 2024, we have been operating Meisa's smart spatial information platform at all of our sites," adding, "This agreement was made to further advance the platform by incorporating feedback accumulated from the field."
The two companies will first enhance the automation of construction record-keeping and optimize on-site work functions. Subsequently, they plan to jointly develop an integrated management system for construction, safety, and quality by conducting comprehensive data analysis.
Kim Hyewon, Executive Director of WooMi Construction, stated, "Smart technology is an indispensable element at construction sites, from safety management to quality improvement. By combining WooMi Construction's expertise in construction with Meisa's technological capabilities, we aim to present a new standard for site management."
Meisa, established in 2017, is a construction drone data platform company that supplies digital twin solutions to numerous construction firms in Korea.
