Twosome Place announced on January 16 that it will launch two new limited-edition cakes for the season: the "Duchooseang Mini," a reinterpretation of its signature cake "Seuchosaeng" (Strawberry Chocolate Fresh Cream), and the "Matcha Seuchosaeng," both developed in response to customer requests that spread through social media.

Since its debut in February 2014, "Seuchosaeng" has remained a consistently popular signature cake at Twosome Place. With a dedicated fanbase, there have been ongoing requests on social media for new variations of the cake. Recently, posts expressing anticipation for versions incorporating the trending "Dubai-style chocolate" and "matcha" have generated significant buzz.

Twosome Place explained that it developed these new products to meet customer demand and timed the launch to coincide with the peak strawberry season. The official release is set for January 30, with limited pre-orders available through the Twosome Heart app starting January 26.

First, the "Duchooseang Mini" features the trendy Dubai-style chocolate. Leveraging Twosome Place’s dessert expertise, the cake layers Middle Eastern kadaif noodles, rich pistachio cream, the signature chocolate fresh cream of Seuchosaeng, and fresh strawberries, all combined in a single cake. After numerous tests, the cake achieves a "golden ratio," balancing intense flavors, a crispy texture, and a harmony of sweet and tangy notes. It is designed to pair exceptionally well with coffee. The mini size (11 cm in diameter), compared to the original whole cake (14.5 cm in diameter), makes it easy for one or two people to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed. The price is set in the high 20,000 won range. Each cake comes with a special cake pick and packaging, enhancing its collectible appeal.

The "Matcha Seuchosaeng," launched alongside, combines the global trend of matcha with the appeal of Seuchosaeng. The cake features a striking visual contrast with vibrant seasonal strawberries atop a green matcha cake. Layers of matcha ganache and monte, chocolate sponge, and strawberry compote deliver the deep, rich flavor of matcha alongside the refreshing taste of strawberries.
