Kyongnam Bank Launches Foreign Worker Insurance Inquiry Service

10 Languages Supported in the App

BNK Kyongnam Bank announced on January 16 that it has signed a service usage agreement with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and is currently operating the "Foreign Worker Insurance Inquiry Service."


Through this service, foreign workers who have entered Korea under the Employment Permit System can conveniently check information such as departure maturity insurance, return cost insurance, and accident insurance, all provided by Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, via the Kyongnam Bank mobile banking application (app) linked to the "Foreign Worker Exclusive Insurance App."


Available services include checking the status of insurance policies exclusive to the Employment Permit System, tracking the progress of insurance claims, and viewing estimated payout amounts. To use the service, users can access the "Lifestyle Benefits" menu or the "Foreigner Mode" within the Kyongnam Bank app and click on "Foreign Worker Insurance Inquiry."


In particular, the Foreign Worker Mode, which launched last month, supports 10 languages including English, Chinese, and Indonesian, making it convenient for foreign workers to check their insurance information.


Kim Kibum, Executive Director of the Retail Customer Group at Kyongnam Bank, said, "BNK Kyongnam Bank is making various efforts to enhance financial convenience for foreigners and to provide differentiated services. We hope this new service will be of practical help to foreign workers."
