Life care brand Newon announced on the 16th that its children's height growth health functional food, "Magic Kid," has reached a cumulative sales volume of 130,000 sachets just three weeks after its launch.
Since its debut on December 21 of last year, the product has achieved strong sales performance in a short period, reaffirming consumer demand for height growth supplements based on functional ingredients. In response, an additional broadcast via GS Home Shopping is scheduled for the morning of the 17th.
Magic Kid is formulated with "Hansamdeonggul Extract Powder (HSy2)," a new ingredient recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its effectiveness in supporting children's height growth. HSy2 has demonstrated improvements in growth-related indicators through both human and animal studies, and is evaluated as an ingredient that considers both safety for growing children and scientific evidence.
Additionally, Magic Kid is fortified with HSy2 as its main ingredient, along with vitamin K, zinc, niacin, and B vitamins (B1, B2, B6) to enhance nutritional support during growth periods. To ensure ease of consumption for children, the product is developed in a jelly stick format, improving convenience.
Previously, Newon launched "Key & Joy," a children's height growth supplement based on the functional ingredient FGO (probiotic fermented oyster extract). With the success of Magic Kid following Key & Joy, Newon has strengthened its lineup of height growth solutions centered on functional ingredients.
A Newon representative stated, "Magic Kid is a product focused on verifying the safety and functionality of its ingredients, taking into account long-term intake by growing children," adding, "Its development centered on HSy2, an ingredient recognized for its functionality by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the simultaneous consideration of scientific evidence and consumption safety, are key factors behind its success."
