The most notable change is the expansion of facilities for visitor convenience. To address the inconveniences caused by aging infrastructure, the entire facility was renovated from September to December last year. In particular, an elevator was newly installed for the elderly and bereaved families with mobility difficulties.

Additionally, in the first half of last year (February to April), the bereaved family counseling room was made more comfortable to help grieving families find solace. The staff lounge was also remodeled to improve working conditions for on-site personnel. These meticulous renovations, even in less visible areas, have established a more stable operational foundation.

This year, the city will continue its efforts by investing a total of 487 million won to further enhance the facilities. The outdated kitchen equipment, directly related to hygiene, will be completely replaced, and the incense room-a core space for funeral rites-will be refurbished with a modern sensibility.

A city official stated, "If 2025 was a year focused on ensuring the safety and convenience of aging facilities, 2026 will be the year we complete a high-quality funeral space that emphasizes hygiene and dignity. We will do our utmost to ensure that Dogye Funeral Hall becomes not just a funeral facility, but a dignified space where bereaved families can find comfort and the deceased can be sent off with utmost respect."
