[Weather] Mostly Clear Skies Nationwide... Fine Dust Levels 'Bad'

On Friday, the 16th, most parts of the country will see generally clear skies, but dense fog is expected in some areas.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major regions are as follows: Seoul 1.2°C, Incheon 0.2°C, Suwon 1.1°C, Chuncheon -2.5°C, Gangneung 5.0°C, Cheongju -0.5°C, Daejeon -1.1°C, Jeonju 0.1°C, Gwangju 0.7°C, Jeju 5.7°C, Daegu 1.2°C, Busan 8.9°C, Ulsan 4.6°C, and Changwon 5.2°C. Daytime highs are forecast to range from 4°C to 16°C.


Fine dust concentrations are expected to be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Yeongdong in Gangwon Province, Chungcheong region, Gwangju, North Jeolla Province, and Daegu, while other regions are expected to see 'normal' levels.


Wave heights in the sea will range from 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, and from 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters. In the offshore areas (within approximately 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights will be 1.0 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
