At the event, Kim introduced his campaign slogan, "An Association Like Never Before, A Leader on a Different Level," and pledged a sweeping transformation of the association and the entire electrical construction industry.

Kim stated, "I am here today because I am determined that the association must change, and because I believe we ourselves must be the ones to make that change happen," adding, "I will ensure that the association, which has stagnated for more than half a century, is thoroughly reformed starting in 2026."

He went on to say, "I will create an association where the members are the true owners and electrical professionals are genuinely respected."

Kim also announced his '10 Core Pledges,' outlining specific directions for the association's management.

His detailed pledges include: ▲ Expanding the electrical construction market to 70 trillion won ▲ Establishing a 'growth ladder' for small member companies ▲ Operating a comprehensive call center for member-focused civil complaints ▲ Improving unreasonable systems, such as strengthening the profitability of Korea Electric Power Corporation unit price contracts ▲ Restoring trust with government ministries and project owners ▲ Ensuring government policy support ▲ Abolishing the association president's salary-type expenses ▲ Reinstating electronic voting to secure members' voting rights ▲ Systematic support and development for future generations ▲ Securing financial soundness by improving the association's management methods.

Kim emphasized, "I will lead the association to expand the electrical construction market to 70 trillion won, securing future growth opportunities and positioning the association at the forefront of the industry," and added, "I will build a foundation where both large and small companies can grow together."

He also stated, "I will work to enhance the status and rights of electrical professionals so that their interests are respected, and I will make sure our members are never left alone again."

In closing, Kim appealed for strong support from the members, saying, "I will prove my abilities through action, not just words."

Kim, widely recognized in the industry as a true electrical professional, is known for his exemplary leadership style that combines outward gentleness with inner strength. Notably, as chairman of the 12th and 13th Electrical Construction Mutual Aid Association, he achieved a 98% fulfillment rate of his pledges, which is considered a major accomplishment. Meanwhile, the 28th election for the presidency of the Korea Electrical Contractors Association is scheduled to take place on February 5 at general meetings of city and provincial chapters nationwide, with voting to be conducted on-site.
