Sharing Departmental Visions and Core Projects
Fostering Communication Among Staff Members
Chilgok County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Kim Jaeuk) held the "2026 Key Work & County Administration Vision Sharing Session" at the Hyangsa Art Center on January 14, with around 200 staff members in attendance. The event provided an opportunity to share departmental visions and core projects, as well as to facilitate communication among employees.
Unlike traditional work briefings where department heads present reports, this session focused on sharing each department's vision derived through communication, and having project managers directly explain key projects. This approach aimed to invigorate the organization and foster a more horizontal organizational culture.
The vision sharing session also served as a platform for Millennials & Gen Z staff, who rarely have the opportunity to interact directly with the governor, to showcase and promote their talents through creative presentations.
The 2026 key work briefing included the following projects: ▲Creation of a nighttime landscape at the Patriotic Peace Park ▲Establishment of a lawn rest area at the Patriotic Peace Park ▲Construction of a pump track at the Nakdong River Bicycle Park ▲Development of a pet-friendly complex cultural space ▲Establishment of an indoor adventure tourism and culture center ▲Tourism resource project for the talking ginkgo tree in Gisan ▲Revitalization project for Waegwan central commercial district ▲Chilgok-style complex leisure town project ▲Improvement of access roads to Buksam Station, among others.
During this vision sharing session, a calligraphy performance was held, featuring a phrase symbolizing Chilgok County's dynamic progress in the Year of the Red Horse in 2026. The governor of Chilgok personally joined the calligraphy artist in painting the horse's eye with a brush, reaffirming the county's commitment to change and innovation.
A Chilgok County official stated, "By sharing the 2026 county administration direction and key tasks with all employees, we have further strengthened interdepartmental collaboration and execution capabilities. We ask that you continue to deliver tangible results that residents can experience through field-oriented administration and responsible policy implementation."
