Former Busan Deputy Mayor Byeongyun Ahn Announces Candidacy for Yecheon County Governor

Byeongyun Ahn (61), former Deputy Mayor of Busan, announced on January 15 that he will run in the election for Yecheon County Governor.


Former Deputy Mayor Ahn stated, "On January 20 at 11 a.m., I will officially announce my candidacy for Yecheon County Governor at the Yecheon County Youth Training Center in Yecheon-eup."

On this day, former Deputy Mayor Ahn will declare his intention to run for Yecheon County Governor in order to redesign the future of Yecheon. He is expected to present his vision for the county, emphasizing that the challenges facing Yecheon are not issues of management, but of design. Afterward, he will take questions from the press.


After passing the civil service examination in 1995, former Deputy Mayor Ahn served as Director of Disaster Response at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Director of Local Tax Administration, Director-General for Planning and Coordination at North Gyeongsang Province, Senior Administrative Officer at the Presidential Office, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs of Busan, and Vice President for Public Affairs at Kyungpook National University.
