Special Discounts and Coupons Offered on Uiseong Jangnal
Boosting Both Farmers' Income and Consumer Benefits
Uiseong County has launched an online direct transaction discount event aimed at transforming the distribution structure of local agricultural and specialty products ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The strategy is to simultaneously strengthen price competitiveness and accessibility by targeting the period when holiday demand is concentrated.
Uiseong County announced that it will hold a special discount event for the Lunar New Year through its official online shopping mall for local agricultural and specialty products, Uiseong Jangnal.
This event will run for about a month, from January 13 to February 11.
During the event, a 20% discount will be applied to all products sold on Uiseong Jangnal, including gift sets, fruits, rice varieties, and garlic. In addition, Uiseong Garlic Beef, a popular holiday item, will be offered at a separate 10% discount, providing practical options for consumers seeking reasonable holiday gifts.
In addition to price discounts, coupon benefits will also be provided.
From January 13 until the budget is exhausted, various coupons will be offered, including a new member registration coupon (5,000 KRW), a purchase review coupon (10,000 KRW), an app download coupon (5,000 KRW), and a friend referral coupon (5,000 KRW). Through these measures, the county aims to increase repurchase rates while also attracting new customers.
Uiseong Jangnal has already proven its competitiveness through tangible results.
Last year, sales reached 3.3 billion KRW, an increase of 500 million KRW compared to the previous year, establishing online channels as a key pillar in the distribution of local agricultural and specialty products. This demonstrates that a structure which reduces intermediate distribution stages, increases farmers' income, and offers reasonable prices to consumers is taking root.
Kim Jusu, Governor of Uiseong County, stated, "To ease the burden on consumers and create a distribution environment that truly benefits local farmers for the Lunar New Year, we have enhanced both discounts and benefits. We hope you will trust and choose high-quality agricultural and livestock products from Uiseong through Uiseong Jangnal."
Uiseong County plans to use this holiday promotion as an opportunity to further expand its online direct transaction base and continuously enhance the brand value and market competitiveness of Uiseong's agricultural and specialty products.
