Bando Construction announced on January 15 that it held a declaration ceremony to present its safety and health policy for this year, with the goal of achieving "zero serious accidents for eight consecutive years."

Bando Construction has recorded zero serious accidents for seven consecutive years, from 2019 through last year. This declaration ceremony, the company's first official safety and health event of the new year, was held simultaneously at Bando Ubora apartment construction sites and public construction sites nationwide on January 13 and 14.

The detailed action plans include: maintaining an average score of 80 or higher (Level IV) in safety and health assessments; continuously expanding safety and health training to strengthen accident prevention capabilities; expanding support for the establishment of safety and health systems among partner companies (by more than 100% compared to the previous year); reducing defect ratings in construction equipment safety by 40% through preventive activities; and reducing the number of the three most frequent accident types by 10% compared to the previous year.

The company also operated an "on-site health management service" to promote the health of field workers and implemented emotional safety and health programs, such as a food truck event providing cup fish cakes and steamed buns to encourage workers fatigued by winter conditions.

Lee Jeongryeol, Head of Construction at Bando Construction, stated, "Site safety is achieved when a systematic safety system operates throughout the entire process, from planning to construction and safety management, based on active communication and cooperation with our partners. We will further strengthen these partnerships and are committed to achieving 'zero serious accidents for eight consecutive years' again this year."

He added, "I hope that all employees and partner company workers will naturally internalize the value of 'safety first' in their daily lives so that a culture of safety and health can be fully established at our sites."

Meanwhile, Bando Construction continues its efforts to strengthen safety and health by providing company-wide safety system training for all employees, advancing the safety operation process at headquarters and construction sites, conducting safety management inspections led by the CEO, sharing preemptive safety management systems with partner companies, and holding presentations on exemplary internal safety and health activities.
