Dongjak District Receives Ministerial Commendation in 'Autonomous Internal Control Evaluation' from Ministry of the Interior and Safety

The Only Autonomous District in Seoul to Receive the Honor
Cheongbaek-e System Achieves Over 99% Action Rate

Dongjak District in Seoul (Mayor Park Ilha) announced on January 15 that it received a ministerial commendation in the '2025 Autonomous Internal Control Evaluation' organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. It was the only district among Seoul's autonomous districts to receive this honor.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety evaluated 243 local governments nationwide based on two criteria: autonomous internal control activities and their activation. Dongjak District was awarded the commendation in recognition of its efforts to prevent corruption among public officials.

The district received excellent scores in all detailed categories. In particular, through the operation of the 'Cheongbaek-e System', which links administrative information systems to monitor work errors and suspicious items in real time, the rates of action taken, approvals, and verifications all exceeded 99%.

By introducing a self-learning integrity system for all employees using the electronic work system, the district improved access to integrity education and achieved a 100% self-management performance rate among public officials.

This year, the district plans to newly establish an Autonomous Internal Control Committee to strengthen its internal control operation system and actively expand the scope of public service ethics activities to include proactive administration.

The autonomous internal control system is a system in which public officials, as the main agents of their work, independently review and control their work processes to prevent administrative errors and the possibility of corruption in advance.

We will not rest on the results of this evaluation and will do our utmost to further spread a culture of integrity and ethics in order to realize clean administration that earns the trust of residents."
