The highly anticipated BTS World Tour, awaited by fans around the globe, will make its spectacular debut in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

On January 15, Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced that Goyang Sports Complex has been confirmed as the first venue for the BTS World Tour, where all seven members of BTS will reunite on stage.

The city has demonstrated its capabilities in operating urban Hallyu content that combines performances, exhibitions, and interactive experiences by consecutively hosting the offline event '2025 BTS FESTA,' J-Hope's encore concert, and Jin's first fan concert.

In particular, the large photo zones and welcome messages set up around Ilsan Lake Park and the Goyang Tourism Information Center have attracted visitors from around the world, solidifying Goyang's reputation as a "destination city for performances."

These accumulated achievements and operational experience have served as a crucial foundation for Goyang's selection as the starting point of the BTS World Tour in 2026.

It was explained that Goyang Sports Complex's capacity to accommodate large audiences, excellent transportation accessibility, a comprehensive safety management system established through inter-agency cooperation, and the city's overall event management capabilities before and after the concert were all thoroughly evaluated.
