Mayor Hyungduk Park of Dongducheon Attends 2026 City Administration Development Prayer Meeting

Hyungduk Park, Mayor of Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province, attended the "2026 City Administration Development Prayer Meeting" hosted by the Dongducheon Christian Federation (President: Pastor Jang Heon-ik) at Dongseong Church in Dongducheon on the 13th.

The prayer meeting was held under the theme "Holy Hands Rebuilding Dongducheon." Following a sermon by Pastor Yang Youngju of Dongseong Church, special prayers were offered by Pastor Kwon Soonik of Somang Church for the nation and its people, Pastor Choi Kyuseon of Seongsin Baptist Church for the development of Dongducheon, and Pastor Kim Junhwan of Champbit Methodist Church for peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula.

With about 100 participants, including members of the Dongducheon Christian Federation and public officials from Dongducheon City, Mayor Hyungduk Park stated, "Dongducheon has played a significant role in national security and maintaining peace," and added, "I hope that our aspirations for peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula, as well as national prosperity, will be fulfilled."

He continued, "In 2026, I will do my utmost to ensure that Dongducheon becomes a cornerstone for the development of Korea and the reunification of the Korean Peninsula, overcoming all barriers to integration and harmony through inclusiveness and cooperation."
