13 Unsold Units Available
Excellent City Accessibility and More
On January 14, Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province announced that it will be recruiting residents for the unsold units of the Jamjeong Sunshine Village Townhouse, targeting farmers.
The Rural New Town Jamjeong Sunshine Village was established in 2013 as a pilot project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to improve housing conditions in rural areas and attract young talent from cities to rural communities, nurturing them as key players in agriculture.
The Jamjeong Sunshine Village Townhouse is located in Jamjeong-ri, Neungju-myeon, Hwasun County, offering excellent accessibility to the city. It is also situated near elementary, middle, and high schools, providing well-established living and educational conditions.
In 2024, Hwasun County prioritized the sale of 137 out of 150 units to existing residents. This year, the remaining 13 unsold units will be made available for general sale.
Eligible applicants for this sale must be farmers without home ownership who meet certain farming scale requirements, as well as the basic and detailed qualifications specified in the official announcement.
The process will begin with the announcement of the recruitment notice, followed by open house viewings from January 16 to 17, application and registration for prospective residents on January 26, and a public lottery for resident selection on January 31.
Details such as the sale price can be found in the notices and announcements section of the Hwasun County Office website.
An Jin-hwan, Head of the Rural Vitality Division, stated, "Through the sale of the remaining Jamjeong Sunshine Village Townhouse units, we hope to complete the sale of all units, attract young agricultural talent, and accelerate the realization of a vibrant and prosperous rural community."
