"Kitchen Means Skill"
Hanssem Showcases Its Spatial Philosophy Through Kitchen Design
Hanssem announced on January 14 that it showcased the 'Euro 900 Tate Island' on the final stage of the Netflix global cooking competition program 'Black & White Chef 2'.
Hanssem is participating as the official special partner of 'Black & White Chef 2'. The final competition of the program is a stage where the black and white chefs face off under identical conditions. Therefore, the kitchen serves not just as a backdrop but as the actual competition venue, which is why Hanssem presented the 'Euro 900 Tate Island'-a product that embodies the company's premium kitchen design capabilities.
According to Hanssem, the final competition zone was designed as a freestanding island structure composed only of lower cabinets, referencing the final stage from season 1. Considering the filming requirements, which demand 360-degree camera movement, Hanssem excluded upper cabinets and tall cabinets, instead proposing an open island design to ensure unobstructed sightlines and free movement.
The kitchen model used is the 'Euro 900 Tate', the top-tier line in Hanssem’s Euro grade. White was applied to the white team and deep gray to the black team, visually expressing the program’s core concept of contrast between black and white. In addition, Hanssem incorporated premium components such as stainless steel countertops, Grohe Essence Profi faucets, and welded square sinks to enhance both functionality and quality.
A Hanssem representative stated, "On the final stage, even the smallest differences on the countertop can determine the outcome, so we focused on every aspect of the chefs’ movement, sightlines, and working environment during the design process," adding, "Through the Euro 900 Tate Island, we wanted to demonstrate Hanssem’s kitchen philosophy that the kitchen is not just a background, but a space where skills are perfected."
