Pursuing Tangible Changes for Residents
Interactive New Year Communication Through Q&A Sessions

Uiseong County is launching on-site, citizen-centered communication to directly share its administrative direction with residents as the Year of Byeongo begins.

From January 12 to 19, Uiseong County will tour local town and township offices to hold the 2026 New Year Town and Township Meetings, where the county will discuss its vision and key policies for the new year together with residents.

This meeting will focus on Q&A rather than one-way policy explanations. Residents will be able to ask questions and offer opinions on major administrative issues and topics of local interest, with the aim of increasing policy understanding and strengthening substantive communication. The county plans to actively reflect the feedback gathered on-site in future policy improvements and project implementation.

This year, Uiseong County has set its administrative vision as "A Happy Uiseong, Where Citizens Prepare for the Future!" and has presented seven key areas for focused action to realize this vision.

Specifically, these include: ▲Support for establishing the foundation of the Airport New Town ▲Implementation of a smart and safe city ▲Overcoming the rural crisis and leading future agriculture ▲Enhancing regional tourism competitiveness, all targeting both mid- to long-term growth strategies and improvements in residents' quality of life.

In particular, this meeting will explain the county's direction with a focus on major projects expected to be completed or to yield significant results starting in 2026. Projects such as the development of the Uiseong Bio Valley General Industrial Complex, expansion of living infrastructure, and improvements to residential environments tailored to residents will also be introduced to help citizens better understand efforts to enhance living conditions.

Kim Jusu, Governor of Uiseong County, stated, "2026 will be a pivotal year when Uiseong's vision for the future is realized as tangible results," adding, "We will thoroughly prepare our core projects to create changes that residents can feel in their daily lives."

Uiseong County plans to use these New Year Town and Township Meetings as an opportunity to further strengthen transparency and on-site engagement in county administration, and to lay the foundation for sustainable regional development through participatory governance created together with residents.

As the dual challenges of local extinction and industrial transformation become a reality, Uiseong County is engaging in on-site communication to shape the direction of its 2026 administration together with residents. By explaining policies directly in the towns and townships and refining them through questions and answers, rather than relying on desk-bound plans, these New Year meetings demonstrate Uiseong County's commitment to realizing the vision of "A Happy Uiseong, Where Citizens Prepare for the Future" through practical administration.
