Yangpyeong County Accepts Applications for 2026 Public Garden Plots
Applications Open Until the 23rd; Operation Runs from April to November
Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jinseon) announced on January 13 that applications for the "Yangpyeong County Public Garden" will be accepted from January 12 to January 23.
The "Yangpyeong County Public Garden" was created to provide residents with the opportunity to experience eco-friendly farming in daily life, thereby enhancing understanding of agriculture and promoting the establishment of a healthy leisure culture.
The public garden is located at 606-1 Gongheung-ri, Yangpyeong-eup, and the county plans to allocate a total of 198 plots this year. Each plot measures 16.8 square meters, and the rental fee is 30,000 won. After site preparation and the selection of recipients, the county will operate the public garden from April 1 until the end of November.
Applications for the public garden are divided into special allocations for public institutions and organizations such as local elementary schools, daycare centers, and kindergartens, and general allocations for residents (heads of households) registered in Yangpyeong County. For general allocations, priority will be given to multicultural families, single-parent families, and families with three or more children.
After document screening, the county will individually notify selected applicants on February 5 via announcements on the Yangpyeong County website and text messages.
Governor Jeon Jinseon stated, "By providing residents with the opportunity to experience farming, we hope to enhance the value of agriculture and foster a healthy family leisure culture and a space for community exchange through activities in harmony with nature."
