On January 13, Yeoncheon County in Gyeonggi Province announced that it is operating a language training program for 21 first-year high school students in Los Angeles (LA), USA, from the 12th to the 23rd, to strengthen the global competencies of local high school students.

This language training is part of an educational support project funded by Yeoncheon County, designed to minimize the financial burden on students and parents and to expand educational opportunities.

The participating students will take part in local courses at Pacific States University in Los Angeles, receiving intensive English instruction and engaging in various cultural experiences and local adaptation programs, thereby improving their practical language skills and developing a global perspective.

Yeoncheon County aims to use this language training to enhance not only the students' foreign language proficiency but also their autonomy, spirit of challenge, and cultural understanding, laying the foundation for them to grow into global talents who will lead future society.
