Cheonjae Education Launches 'All Back Grade 1 Master' for the New Five-Level High School Grading System

High-Difficulty Questions Designed to Distinguish Top Performers

Cheonjae Education announced on January 13 that it has newly launched the high-difficulty internal assessment workbook series, "(High School) All Back Grade 1 Master," designed to help top-performing students stand out following the restructuring of the high school grading system.

The "All Back Grade 1 Master" series consists of five volumes aimed at prospective first-year high school students and current first-year students: ▲Common Korean 1 ▲Common Mathematics 1 ▲Integrated Social Studies 1 ▲Korean History 1 ▲Integrated Science 1. Textbooks for the second semester are scheduled for release in May.

This new release was developed in response to the transition from a nine-level to a five-level high school grading system, which has led to an increase in tied scores among top students and sparked debates over the system's ability to distinguish high achievers, intensifying competition for the top grade.

"All Back Grade 1 Master" carefully selects questions optimized for the 2022 revised curriculum by analyzing more than 1,000 actual school test papers and over 5,000 high-difficulty questions. The series includes not only questions from general high schools but also from specialized and autonomous private high schools, as well as modified versions of questions from the College Scholastic Ability Test and mock exams. It brings together key differentiators at high and very high difficulty levels that determine the top grade, all in one volume. In particular, the proportion of descriptive questions has been increased to align with the trend toward more essay and written-response assessments.

Digital supplementary services have also been enhanced for convenience. Detailed video explanations for high-difficulty questions are provided via QR codes in the textbooks. Through the "Past Exam Master Package," students can access additional past exam materials reflecting the latest trends and use an app-based error note function.
