Chuncheon City Establishes Data-Driven Bus Stop Management System
Citizen Reports Accepted Until the 30th, Prioritization to Follow
Accumulating Maintenance Data to Ensure Sustainable Management
Chuncheon City in Gangwon Province (Mayor Yuk Donghan) is establishing a data-driven bus stop management system and will launch a "participatory comprehensive maintenance" initiative, allowing citizens to directly report locations in need of repair.

Until now, bus stop maintenance lacked a systematic management system, resulting in delays in identifying outdated facilities and limitations in accurately estimating the budget required for maintenance. In response, the city is transitioning to a method that manages maintenance records as data, aiming for a more systematic approach to bus stop management.
The city will build a bus stop-specific maintenance database (DB) by combining maintenance records from the past three years with the results of the comprehensive maintenance to be conducted in the first half of this year. Based on this, regular inspections will be carried out for each facility, and the data will be updated every time new maintenance is performed to ensure continuity in management.
In particular, this round of comprehensive maintenance will actively reflect citizens' input. Citizens can report bus stops they believe require maintenance until January 30, and these stops will be prioritized for repair.
Reports can be made by visiting or contacting the nearest town or district administrative welfare center, or online through the city’s exclusive citizen report website (accessible via QR code). After completing priority maintenance on bus stops reported by citizens, the city plans to sequentially inspect and repair all routes in the region by June 30.
A Chuncheon City official stated, "Citizen reports are the starting point for change on the ground," and added, "We ask for your interest and active participation."
