In 2025, the city conducted approximately 1,845 interpretation sessions for around 75,000 visitors. According to surveys conducted among users of the cultural tourism interpretation service and the city tour bus, satisfaction levels were reported to be very high.

Accordingly, to further promote its tourist sites and enhance visitor convenience, the city will continue to assign cultural tourism guides to tourist attractions on a regular basis in 2026. In particular, to respond to the growing demand for interpretation services and support diverse travel styles, the city recruited three new cultural tourism guides last year to strengthen its workforce.

The cultural tourism guides provide tailored storytelling about the background, historical significance, and local culture of each tourist site, according to the type of visitor. They offer in-depth interpretation services to a wide range of visitors, from individual and small-group travelers to families and large tour groups.

Meanwhile, the city plans to resume operation of the city tour bus in February, after suspending it for the month of January due to the winter season, to improve transportation convenience for tourists.

Lee Jinhwa, Director of Tourism, stated, "Recently, there has been an increase in solo travelers, which has led to a growing demand for learning about the context and stories behind tourist attractions. Through our cultural tourism guides, we aim to provide services that satisfy not only solo travelers but also families and group tourists, ensuring that travel is not just about seeing, but also about listening, understanding, and creating memorable experiences."
