Celebrating the First Anniversary of the App with the New Year
A Festival in Conjunction with the Dried Persimmon Festival
Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province will hold the first anniversary event for "Oru GO Hamyang" at 2:00 p.m. on January 17 at Gowoon Square in Sangnim Park.
The event will feature a commemorative ceremony, the distribution of silver medals to participants who have completed all 15 peaks, and a variety of interactive activities. It is also designed to coincide with the Jirisan Hamyang Dried Persimmon Festival, which will take place from January 16 to 18, allowing attendees to enjoy both events together.
Hamyang County will also host a range of events for participants in the anniversary celebration. In conjunction with the dried persimmon festival, those who complete the summit certification on the day of the event and those who have completed all 15 peaks and attend the event will receive a dried persimmon discount voucher worth 10,000 won.
Additionally, from January 1 to the day of the event on January 17, a total of 75 people-five from each mountain-and 20 first-time participants will be selected by lottery from among those who complete the summit certification. They will be awarded 10,000 points in the app, which can be redeemed for mobile Hamyang Love Gift Certificates.
A county official stated, "Thanks to the passion and interest of our participants, 'Oru GO Hamyang' is already celebrating its first anniversary. We are grateful for the support so far, and we have prepared this meaningful event so that participants can cheer each other on and share their achievements. We hope many people will join us and also take part in Hamyang's other famous event, the dried persimmon festival."
Meanwhile, the "Oru GO Hamyang" challenge application, which encourages participants to climb all 15 of Hamyang County's mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level, has surpassed 16,000 participants and 2,090 people who have completed all 15 peaks in its first year. The enthusiasm continues as hikers from across the country flock to Hamyang to enjoy winter trekking.
