Park Dongsik, Mayor of Sacheon, Gyeongnam Province, visited the sites of foreign-invested companies to strengthen communication with businesses and actively promote investment attraction.

According to Sacheon City on January 13, Mayor Park recently visited foreign-invested companies within the city, toured their production facilities and management status, and held meetings with company officials, focusing on field-oriented administration.

This visit was organized to directly listen to the challenges faced by companies investing in the region despite global economic uncertainties and to seek practical support measures.

At the site, Mayor Park checked the progress of investments, employment status, and future business expansion plans, and exchanged candid opinions on administrative and institutional inconveniences. Company representatives reportedly requested support for streamlining licensing procedures, expanding infrastructure, and addressing workforce supply issues.

Sacheon City plans to share the feedback received with relevant departments, promptly implement feasible improvements, and address mid- to long-term tasks in stages.

In particular, the city aims to focus on providing customized administrative support and creating a business-friendly environment so that foreign-invested companies can settle stably and make additional investments.

Additionally, the city plans to systematically identify and promote success stories of foreign-invested companies within Sacheon, actively publicizing the city’s investment environment and growth potential both domestically and internationally. Through these efforts, Sacheon aims to build a virtuous cycle that enhances global companies’ trust, leads to follow-up investments and attracts new foreign investment, thereby strengthening its global competitiveness in investment attraction.

Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "The success stories of foreign-invested companies are the most powerful assets for attracting further investment," adding, "We will continue field-oriented support and strategic investment attraction activities so that Sacheon can emerge as a key investment hub city chosen by global companies."

Meanwhile, Sacheon City plans to further strengthen its investment attraction base through regular field visits and meetings with companies, and to accelerate efforts to attract outstanding domestic and international businesses.
