The Business Environment Improvement Project aims to enhance the competitiveness of companies and promote regional economic revitalization and job creation by improving outdated infrastructure, fire safety facilities, and labor and work environments for small and medium-sized enterprises. Along with the SME Development Fund Loan Support Project, it is considered one of the most highly rated projects in terms of corporate satisfaction and is recognized as a representative support initiative that provides practical assistance to small businesses facing management difficulties.

In 2026, a total of 690 million won will be allocated to five infrastructure projects, including new drainage system installations, while 990 million won will be invested in 50 projects related to labor and work environment improvements, such as dormitory and workplace renovations.

In particular, the budget size and the number of selected companies in the labor and work environment sector have doubled compared to 2025, so many workplaces in the city are expected to benefit.

A Pocheon City official stated, "Companies are the key drivers of the local economy," adding, "We will make every effort in 2026 to improve the business environment and address on-site challenges so that businesspeople can focus solely on their management activities."

Meanwhile, applications for the 2027 Business Environment Improvement Project will be accepted through the Pocheon City Hall website between August and September.
